HDR is looking for a Roadway EIT/Coordinator to join our growing team in Michigan.

Primary Responsibilities

• Detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects. More specific duties include:
• Design alignment and profile geometrics, traffic, roadway drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Coordinating with other project engineers on Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
• College graduates with related internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or relevant degree
• Experience developing designs using AutoCAD, Microstation or other transportation design software package.
• Experience with MS Office.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 + years experience in highway and roadway design.
• Proficiency in roadway design and engineering/CAD software tools is a plus.
• Preference given to local candidates
• Familiarity with Michigan DOT standards and policies.
• EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
