Purpose and Key Job Activities

This position will be responsible for managing and executing ethics and compliance programs directed to all Stericycle team members to ensure awareness of, and adherence to policies, processes and laws applicable to Stericycle's businesses. Sup-port the Office of Ethics and Compliance in determining and managing strategies that will remediate and prevent compliance issues and create a culture of compliance.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage the global third party due diligence program, including:
  • Conduct due diligence of new vendors; track and keep current due diligence of existing vendors, and maintain third party due diligence case management system.
  • Support commercial teams by performing due diligence screening of public and state-owned customers.
  • Manage the sanctions screening process to ensure compliance with global trade sanctions requirements and restrictions.
  • Develop, support and deliver awareness campaigns on third party risks and due diligence processes to global stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation of due diligence-related processes, communications and decisions.
  • Maintain and update policies and process documentation related to third party management.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Monitoring Manager to investigate and address potential vendor fraud and other compliance issues identified in monthly compliance monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with global Strategic Sourcing team to ensure appropriate contractual provisions are in place with high risk vendors.
  • Support local, in-country cross-functional teams in the management and oversight of third party vendors.
  • Maintain compliance databases and dashboards and provide analysis and regular reporting of activities, risks and trends; support the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in preparing presentations to the Ethics and Compliance Committee, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • In collaboration with regional compliance team, support global risk assessment initiatives.
  • Manage program for reviewing employee disclosures pursuant to the company's Gifts, Meals and Entertainment and Charitable Donations policies.
  • Manage and respond to employee requests for guidance and assistance in support of the compliance program and support the OEC team to ensure delivery of global E&C programming that enhances Stericycle's culture of compliance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience required; graduate degree a plus;
  • 8+ years related job experience in a compliance or related field, such as Legal, Risk Management, Finance, HR, or Internal Audit.An understanding of international anti-corruption laws, including the FCPA and UK Bribery Act.
  • 3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and able to exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received in the course of this position.
  • Proficient at intermediate/advanced level in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
