Job Description

ORC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Accounting Clerk to be based in Columbus, OH. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of Columbus, OH and be able to report to the Columbus, OH office as needed.

What you will be doing:

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for managing sensitive, confidential information and performing accounting record and data reconciliation between the corporate office and field offices. Candidate will coordinate data entry and payment of trust account, manage electronic payments, enter and code vendor invoices into accounting system, and review expense reports. The Accounting Clerk will also assist the Accounting Department with day-to-day operations through various administration projects given by the Assistant Accounting Manager.

Here are the minimum requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting, administrative, or data entry experience
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Comfortable working in an electronic environment
  • Valid driver's license required

Bonus Points if you have experience with accounting and project management software like Vantagepoint and/or are knowledgeable in various contract billing methods, and/or experience with high volume invoicing.

Relocation and/or per diem are not provided for this position.

Physical Requirements: English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long hours in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee occasionally is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
